Libya has been named as the primary source of the illegal weapons trade that is fueling conflicts in at least 14 countries around the world, a final report from the UN's independent panel on Libya's sanctions announced.
In Ukraine, the West supported an unconstitutional putsch against an elected government perpetrated, among others, by fascist/neo-nazi storm troopers (Svoboda, Right Sector) instrumentalized by US intelligence. After a Russian counterpunch, US President Barack Obama proclaimed that any referendum in Crimea would "violate the Ukrainian constitution and violate international law."
This is just the latest instance in the serial rape of "international law". The rap sheet is humongous, including; NATO bombing Serbia for 78 days in 1999 to allow Kosovo to secede; the 2003 US invasion and subsequent trillion-dollar occupation and civil war creation in Iraq; NATO/AFRICOM bombing Libya in 2011 invoking
R2P ("responsibility to protect") as a cover to provoking regime change; US investment in the secession of oil-wealthy South Sudan, so China has to deal with an extra geopolitical headache; and US investment in perennial civil war in Syria.
Yet Moscow still (foolishly?) believes international law should be respected - presenting to the UN Security Council classified information on all Western intel/psy-ops moves leading to the coup in Kiev, including "training" provided by Poland and Lithuania, not to mention Turkish intelligence involvement in setting up a second coup in Crimea. Russian diplomats called for an unbiased international investigation. That will never happen; Washington's narrative would be completely debunked. Thus a US veto at the UN.
The West is advancing its plans and geopolitical interests by playing the Ukraine card to the detriment of Russia's interests, but these bad actors disregarded quite a few factors, the chair of the Russian Upper House Valentina Matvienko told RT.

() It has yet to be reported in major western newspapers that the new government installed in Ukraine on February 26, after the deposition and flight of Viktor Yanukovych, includes eight figures associated with Ukraine’s far right. The positions they have filled are not insignificant.
On March 9th, Aleksandr Dugin, a geostrategic and ideolgoical adviser to Vladimir Putin, published an outline of three possible scenarios which could result from the Ukrainian crisis. Two of these have the Kremlin failing to stand against Western pressure, and one results in thermonuclear war, the other in complete chaos. The third option, which he calls “the Russian Spring,” features Russia leading a revolution across Europe, freeing the continent from the hellish bonds of Americanism and cultural death.
Dugin is controversial in traditionalist circles, as though he has often been accused of Antisemitism, he has rejected the label. Still, he has had no shame in associating with vocal Antisemites, indicating that he is not bothered by it, and likely rejects the label for strategic reasons. He has been very friendly with the Golden Dawn and has met with David Duke.
I do not know that I would necessarily endorse Dugin fully, but I do endorse his vision outlined herein. Christian Russia becoming the power center of Europe is absolutely the best thing that could happen right now.
The paper was published on Dugin’s Facebook page, along with this image:
