Melinda Taylor, from Brisbane, has told Vogue Magazine it's her passion for human rights that led her to defending the son of Muammar Gadaffi.
She was doing just that in June 2012 when she and three of her colleagues were arrested in Libya. The International Criminal Court (ICC) appointed group was there to meet with Saif al-Islam Gadda, who had been charged with crimes against humanity.
After a shortened meeting with Gaddafi,all four were arrested by the National Transitional Council of Libya (NTC), accused of spying. They were detained for 26 nail-biting days. (...) "
