Green Building – A Business Incentive

US News recently reports the environmental sustainability movement has impacted the construction industry. The U.S. Green Building Council released a new report stating the economic benefits of LEED certified buildings.

As the green movement continues to grow, advantages of LEED certified buildings are easier to quantify. This is exciting news as positive data suggests investors are receiving higher returns on green construction. Investors aren’t the only ones benefiting from the influx of green construction:

Their air is cleaner, the lighting is better, more daylight reaches interior occupants, temperature is better controlled and toxins like formaldehyde are kept out.”
