Ford Motor Co., is one of the largest automobile maker companies in the world. Henry Ford is the founder of the company. Ford became an engineer in 1892 because he was fascinated with the way things worked. In 1903 the Ford Motor Company was started. In 1914, Ford started to develop the moving assembly like. Soon after he made employee’s wages go up to 5 dollars per day, as a way to keep the workers loyal to his company as well as giving the weekends off for more leisure time. Ford introduced the Ford Model T in October of 1908. Henry Ford then became known for making inexpensive cars made by skilled and talented workers. In 1918 half of all cars in the U.S were Ford Model T cars.

In the 20’s Ford Motor Company became very popular. Ford Motor Company began to hire people with disabilities and injured WWI vets. During the year 1920, the company had more African American employees than any other automotive company in the United States. Also during that time the Model T had become very popular as well, even more so than before. To meet the growing demand of automobiles, the moving assembly line was made. Ford Motor Co., was producing a car every 30 seconds. In the year of 1926, over fifteen-million Model T automobiles were sold. The late 20’s the Ford Model T automobile started to lose its glory and fade away.
