TPI or Trigger Point Injections are inserted into trigger point straight to manage persistent soreness. This injection is usually anesthetic like bupivicaine (Marcaine) and lidocaine (Xylocaine) or a combination of the two or cortisone medication separately or taken with lidocaine. In some cases empty injection is offered instantly on to the trigger point. Also called as 'dry needling', it may be useful normally. Trigger Point Injections can relieve the suffering and inactivate the trigger point.
