Two cellular phone store employees stole "personal pictures" from a customer while transferring her phone's data to a new phone, Bartow police said.
Joshua Stuart, 24, of Riverview, and Gregory Lampert, 26, Brandon, face charges of distributing lewd material, dealing in stolen property, theft of computer data and petit theft.
During a phone purchase at the store, 110 E. Van Fleet Drive, Stuart offered to transfer the customer's data from her old phone to her new one, police said.
During the transfer, he copied personal pictures from the phone and kept copies for himself, police said. Stuart later shared the images with Lampert, investigators said.
Stuart, with the assistance of Lampert, later showed the images to another customer who recognized the woman in a photograph, police said. That customer contacted the woman to alert her that the Verizon employees had the images and were sharing them...
