I came out of Attack the Block reasonably pleased with my viewing experience. It was fast-paced, structurally sound and, most of all, fun as all shit. Every negative review of the film I read mentions the same thing: it’s full of clichés. And as much as I want to knock these narrow-minded “professionals,” I can’t help but indulge them. I mean, Attack the Block’s broader elements (on the surface, anyway) don’t stretch far beyond the action sequence guidelines.
