DHL Germany is making daily deliveries by drones with pre-programed flight paths to a small German island.  No small parcel company is every allowed to test drones due to lack of permission from the FAA in the US.  It sounds like the US is falling behind with implementing this technology at the commercial level.  No wonder that Amazon and other companies feel so frustrated with the FAA.
