IAITAM's curator insight, October 22, 2014 10:29 AM

What the tagline states is not the issue that an ITAM sees in this article.  The fact that such a high percentage of employees are using personal devices for work without the employer being aware of it can be a huge security risk and policy violation (that’s assuming the employer has addressed mobile devices through policy).  The article states survey results that a large  percentage of these organizations basically have no control over how and who accesses their corporate data and through what channels.  I do agree that ease of integration is warranted as welcomed functionality with new devices, but that whole process should be controlled and not left up to the individual when it comes to organizational access.
