Here's an overview video on corporate training oriented e-learning. The SCORM side of thinks guarantees compatibility with any SCORM compliant Course Management Systems (CMS).

The Holy Grail of E-Learning (for me) is to build a beautiful resuable learning object (RLO) that engages a student's attention, then moves them through a series of experiences that teaches something meaningful.

This video is a simple lecture.  It doesn't really walk the engagement talk. But then sometimes, a 15 minute lecture will anwser questions and help you understand the big picture.

Visual Storytelling: The Key Weapon to Content Marketing

Visual Storytelling: The Key Weapon to Content Marketing | Resources for DNLE for 21st Century | Scoop.it

"Thanks to social networks, we’ve naturally been driven to a host of metrics that include attributes of “engagement” and conversations shared online."

"This, in turn, has fueled the content marketing race – and ultimately, the quest for producing what is most relevant or valuable to a company’s current and prospective customers."

"As we compete in this context to draw attention for our brand and offerings, perhaps one element has remained constant above all others: the power of visual storytelling."

The New SEO Rules in a Content Marketing World

The New SEO Rules in a Content Marketing World | Resources for DNLE for 21st Century | Scoop.it

Five years ago, SEO was all the buzz. Today, it has shifted to "content marketing," which aims to create stories humans want to read and engage with. - The above chart is a good summary of this trend.

Guillaume Decugis's curator insight, October 29, 2013 9:58 PM

This one slide alone summarizes the major trend of these past few years.

In other words, Social Media is becoming the new SEO.

This has at least 2 consequences for Content Marketers:

1. Content Marketing is becoming more and more important: companies can't use old fashion backlinking techniques anymore.

2. Content needs to be shareable and target humans - not robots. In particular content curators who will amplify their content impact by adding the right context to the right audience.

Alison D. Gilbert's curator insight, October 30, 2013 7:33 PM

This is a good visual to explain the importance of good content.

Neil Ferree's comment, October 31, 2013 11:19 AM
Social Shares is the New SEO. Sure, links let the bots know there are other sites (authors) who find your content useful but when someone publically "shares" your content with their social connections, this social signals evokes trust in the author's content and authority.

20+ Tools to Create Your Own Infographics

20+ Tools to Create Your Own Infographics | Resources for DNLE for 21st Century | Scoop.it

A picture is worth a thousand words – based on this, infographics would carry hundreds of thousands of words, yet if you let a reader choose between a full-length 1000-word article and an infographic that needs a few scroll-downs, they’d probably prefer absorbing information straight from the infographic. What’s not to like? Colored charts and illustrations deliver connections better than tables and figures and as users spend time looking back and forth the full infographic, they stay on the site longer. Plus, readers who like what they see are more likely to share visual guides more than articles. While not everyone can make infographics from scratch, there are tools available on the Web that will help you create your very own infographics. In this article, we’re listing more than 20 such options to help you get your messages across to your readers, visually.
