Twitter launched Vine yesterday. One of several apps that could be described as the Instagram of video, Vine captures 6 seconds of video snippets that you can edit together and publishes your creation to Twitter or Facebook.

"We are entering the stage where broadband penetration, at least, in (Western) Europe, is pretty much a good myth, specially, if you don’t live in big cities. If you live in relatively small towns, or rural / remote areas, that pervasive connectivity is non-existent, which comes to fight the argument that the Web keeps us all hyperconnected and networked no matter what. Well, it matters, connectivity, at least, in Europe, is not as pervasive as what most folks feel, and if you have been reading my recent business trips across several European countries, it’s more of a wider issue than anything else, not necessarily related to a specific country or local region."

This is an early stage beta; fun to play around with but not super-intuitive. Still, it beats PowerPoint's klugey design and typography from dolts.

Though your channel's landing page might appear simple (and it's grown simpler over the years), there are a number of features you can fine-tune to optimize a viewer's experience. You can't customize like you used to, and there's a lot of white space, but there are very specific ways to make your page stand out. If you are on YouTube you will like this.
