China sex trade infiltrates international hotels

China sex trade infiltrates international hotels | RESORTS & HOTEL OPERATIONS | Scoop.it
Reporting for BBC Newsnight, John Sudworth uncovers evidence of organised prostitution at independently run spas inside a number of well known, Western-brand hotels in China.
STEVENLEONARDMARCONI's insight:

The news is about how the china sex trade infiltrates international hotels. Although prostitution is illegal in China, however evidence has been uncovered showing that there has been organised prostitution activities being run at well-known international hotel brands. Discovery has been made stating that eradication of the prostitution industry is seemly tough as it is organised in an industrial scale. Mostly such prostitution trades are run by third party organisation that gains permit to run spas or karaoke bars inside the hotel itself, therefore extreme precaution and uphold of law must be done to prevent the illegal sex trade activities. Besides that, the prostitutes themselves also has a high probability of getting abused by clients due to the fact that some of the prostitutes are actually forced sex slaves. (LEONARD)

In this BBC news, it is telling about several foreign hotels in China have operated illegal prostitute business in the hotel spa. The spa and massage in the hotel is from third party, but agreement by hotel and this spa operator is breaking the law of government of China. From what I know, there are not only in China, every country like Malaysia and Indonesia also did the same thing. Peoples are now have put in mind that hotel is not about selling the room but hotel also selling the prostitution. This is very bad for hotel operation, because once this illegal issue has been discovered it will drop down hotel name and business. It maybe ended up with end of the business, losing money or losing business partner. China government should make the law of prostitution more stringent, it is to clean the dirty prostitution around China and also become a good example others country can learn. (STEVEN 20001420)

Article - Bullied by a Guest - By Gay Lynn Grigas - Christina was working in guest relations at a major resort hotel in the Caribbean. When her next guest was a bit hostile and snarled at her, she chalked it up to a tough travel day for this weary business man and proceeded with her caring attitude and warm greeting
STEVENLEONARDMARCONI's insight:

This article is talking about a woman named Christina who met a hostile customer, who wants to force their way to get a room and was maybe acting out of tiresome, but who might be a bully. However, Christina's quick-thinking had handled the situation well. Great training definitely paid off there, as she remained calm and not bite the hook that was laid out by the gnarly customer. She reserved her feelings and knowing well what the gnarly guest was trying to do, and not try to confront them. From there, we know, customers are always right, but Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "No one can make us feel inferior without our consent.". (MARCONI 20001476)

STEVENLEONARDMARCONI's insight:

In this news is telling about the latest development in bedding protection. This development is created by polesy commercial.  These developments are including improvement in being waterproof, hypoallergenic, antifungal, antibacterial, dust mite resistant and bedbug proof. From my opinion this improvement is very good in term of caring guest safety and healthy. In the hotel, the housekeeping peoples will change the bed linen and pillow case every day. But what is important for guest is inside pillow and mattress itself. I personally have felt the same experience when I staying in hotel, I always worried about the bed cleanliness. Although they have change the case or linen, but bacteria and bedbug is invisible in our eyes. With this latest development, guests can minimize their worries about the bed because this latest development providing a barrier against liquid and bedbug penetration. (STEVEN 20001420)

Nine killed in Kabul hotel attack

Nine killed in Kabul hotel attack | RESORTS & HOTEL OPERATIONS | Scoop.it
Nine people, including four foreigners, are killed when Taliban gunmen burst into a luxury hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul.
STEVENLEONARDMARCONI's insight:

The news is basically about the assault by terrorist forces at the Kabul hotel and nine individuals were killed in the attack. The gunmen behind the attacks were hiding in the toilet a few hours before they begin the attack. It is best to suggest that a tighter security procedure must be taken in order to ensure the safety of civilians dining in the hotel due to the fact that the hotel is located in an area which is highly vulnerable to terrorist assaults. The hotel should implement security sections at the entrance of the hotel for the inspection of their guests in terms of body checks just to make sure that their guests are not carrying any dangerous weaponry that can contribute to the happening of dangerous attacks. Local security forces are to patrol the neighbouring area to make sure that the hotel has a safe radius of approach because attackers might be hiding in nearby places where the hotel is situated before beginning their assault. (LEONARD)

This news is telling about the terrorist attacked diners on Thursday evening in Kabul hotel. This gun attack is end up with 9 peoples were killed and including two children. This case is very bad for the hotel name because in my opinion, everything related to the quest safety is very important. This is related to people life. Every hotel should provide and improve security check procedure in the hotel like guest scanning at hotel entry door. I am never seen this scanning machine in hotel before which easy for bad people to carrying their gun or weapon inside hotel. In this news it stated that this gunman is hiding his pistols inside his socks and hiding inside restaurant toilet for 3 hours. 3 hours is a very long time for people who stay in the toilet and security department must take an action immediately. But in fact, it is no action taking place and in the end surprise in coming. Security improvement is very important especially for country like Afghanistan where political issues and war is still ongoing. (STEVEN 20001420)
