4.)  Marketing is a thrilling, challenging, and fast pace industry, as events, products, etc. occur the marketers are always at the heart of the planning.  Of course depending on the company the role can vary.  In a larger copporation a marketer may be assigned to a few projects, overseeing the details and working with the team.  While in a smaller company a marketer may be involved with multiple task such as the helping around the office with little things of assisting the CEO on quite a few occasions.

 

5.)  Marketers play a key role in campaigning online or print, while trying to reach out to costumers.  They are also involved in with events, creating collateral, and working with stoke holders.  Marketers are often put into a team that also has Public relations, marketing mangers, and marketing assistant. 

 

6.)  With so many things happing there is no "typical day"  each day will bring a challenge to a marketer whether it would be working on creating and launching a new product.  Or even reporting, updating websites, arranging print or online advertising may seem like a nothing but it can really make or break a company.  Not offering enough advertising can cause the company to sink or even having the messages and memos look sloppy can greatly effect the company.

 

7.)  Not everyday will be spent in a office space for a marketer.  Being in charge of events, advertising, and many other things gives marketers the ability to travel all around the world to with a variety of clients.  Being able to bring in such a range of buyers pushes the company to their fullest ability and it is part of the marketers job to get more consumers to their company.

1.) Bloomberg Businessweeks sat down with Daniel Helmhold who i works at Kabam game center in San Francisco where is currently a market manager.  His daily will start at 9am where he starts off with meetings with the management team to discuss the results of all upcoming events and also preparing for events to come. 

 

2.)  Through out the whole day Helmhold will bounce between meetings along with dealing with emails.  Whether it is sending mass messages to clients or responding to memos for event coming up.  While working on mail he has to also work on writing, editing, and thinking of how to get the products to the customers effectively.

In a job for a marketer companies look for graduates with the degree or clear on the subjects in marketing, communications, business/management.  They even look for people qualified in  advertising, psychology, and even computer science allowing their company to have the best most experienced workers in their business. 

 

7.)  After long classroom hours the companies will look at the over all people skills and dedication one has to work in the field.  Employers look for communication skills, analytical skills, the ability to use initiative along with how well you work under pressure.  Their are also the ability to be creative, a strong drive, willing to be flexible with a work schedule, the environment, problems, and people .  Companies are always looking for a team player, a strong speaker/writer, and someone with a strong attitude to get the job done.

5.)  Specific calles all depend on the school you will be attending however, for the basics business, pre-business, and specialization classes will all help you from any school that you will be attending.  Classes like accounting, finance, international business, business ethics, and advertising will give you the in depth look at the career that will pre pare you for a future career.

8.)  A major part of the day for a marketer is writing; constantly working on creative styles of writing to spark the consumers attettion is extremely important.  Along with presenting strong confidence to show the cllients that the product is and will be strong and sucessful. Trying to get new buyers and sponsorers is also a major part of the day.

 

9.)  Constantly trying to stay connected to the clients to show what they mean to the company.  That they are not just another source of money but to bring satisfaction to the people is key for a marketer.  With the constant change in technology marketers are pushing even more to show their product to compete to be the best.

  3.)  About once a week the marketer of any company will send out a mass email out to all of their clients.  Through out this video they show how the marketer is in Barns and Noble using a new technique to send the message to clients and how little things like that can really make a difference for the company.  Being able to keep the clients up to date with whats happing to give them the ability to known whats really happing.

8.)  While entering the marketing field most if not all companies will want to see a bachelors degree in marketing or the related business field.  In order to receive the highest paying job that will be able to test your skills and put you under pressure; with a masters degree this will allow you the advantage over other potential threats.  Even though with a bachelors degree receiving a  well paying jobs are still possible.

 

9.) While your education plays a strong role in your job search, many employers also take into consideration other information from your resume.  Things such as your past experience, internships and shadowing jobs will show that you have past experience and are not going into the field raw.  WIth that they also look into your ability to analyze products that can/will sell, what other talent you may hold that can stand above the rest and give your company the edge.  Entering the field companies will also be interested in your diversity having the experience with different people and how you are involved with other groups or your activites or events that open your horizon to different types of people.

 

10.)  Entering in business means the same old communication classes, math, finance, management, economics and writing classes.  However, what most people look beyond is the logistics of the field; with science classes such as technology science to learn the break down of the latest technology and how to use it to its fullest.  Even Science management classes are huge in many universities to learn the break down of marketing and how to be a leader to the rest of the team, along with human resources to help learn how to work with different types of people and behaviors in a variety of situations

Many if not all college/universities have the same basic need of classes.  Marketing majors will need the real world experience while studying how the consumer behaves, the basic principles of adverting, media planning, along with public relations are all the basic classes needed to pursue marketing degree.

 

3.) Inorder to extend the business education classes are required through the basic core course and even in to the extent of the masters degree.  Allowing a one-up from many other students competing for the same career.  With the learning of the latest and greatest inventions coming to the field allowing students the full knowledge.
