London-based studio Procter-Rihl Architects has designed the Slice House project.
Completed in 2003, this 2,260 square foot, two story, contemporary home is located in Porto Alegre, the capital and largest city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

“The project was selected to represent Brazil in the IV Latin American Architecture Biennale in October 2004 in Peru. The house makes a series of references to Brazilian modern architecture as well as adding a new element with its complex prismatic geometry, which generates a series of spatial illusions in the interior spaces.

With this project, 4D-Arquitetura was awarded at the 6o Grande Prêmio de Arquitetura Corporativa (6th Corporative Architecture Grand Prix ) on executed Industrial Plants and Distribution Centers.

The Bortolini Móveis invested in expanding its production capacity with the construction of a new factory in the town of Garibaldi. This project is based on several volumetric differences and in the contrast of the exposed concrete cast on site with materials as stone and wood.
