Do You Feel Rejected? - Top Addiction Treatment & Recovery Directory

Do You Feel Rejected? - Top Addiction Treatment & Recovery Directory | Relationships | Scoop.it

Rejection is more common than you might think; many people feel unwanted and/or rejected.  When we feel rejected it can severely effect our self image, self worth and self esteem. In fact, many believe our consumerism driven society would come to a screeching halt if the majority of people did not feel rejected and insecure. More people go through life feeling rejected than many of us know.

Internet Marketing's insight:

Although we are created by God, we are born without God in our hearts. This is because God does not force himself on us and wants us to have the choice to choose Him or not. There is actually a place in our chest cavity designed for the spirit of God to reside, but He will not take up residence there until we invite Him in. This explains the feeling of being on the outside looking in. Once we find God and form a relationship with Him, the feeling of rejection is removed.

Internet Marketing's insight:
Self Interest of the Preacher

In the Bible, King David talks about the futility of life. Although he was the wealthiest man in all the land and had everything that any man could ever want, he was miserable.  Since he was also the smartest man of his time, he was determined to find happiness. It is interesting to read the book of Ecclesiastes because most of his scriptures have a much used word-the word “I”.

Guidline for Female Dumpee - New Life Recovery®

Dumpee, got mad, stormed out and now that you have calmed down you want to call him and fix it, after all you have invested 5 of your most eligible years with this guy and that is worth something-right?
Internet Marketing's insight:

Great article to get young women to reconsider how they use their 20's. The problem is that most women do not really determine what it is they want from a relationship prior to entering it. When we are in our 20′s we think we have all the time in the world and that taking 3-6 years out of our 20′s to live with a guy doesn’t seem like a big deal. If we want marriage and children there is still plenty of time for that. And of course there is the belief that this guy we are living with will surely want to marry us…eventually. When there is enough money, school is over, etc. etc.

Internet Marketing's insight:

Relationships are central to the recovery process. Alcoholics Anonymous which was started such a long time ago knew this and created a Fellowship.

The Fellowship is really the glue that holds us together in recovery. There is strength in numbers. If I did not have the love and support of my AA fellowship, recovery would not be as fun or rewarding. Not only am I supported by my relationships with others in the recovery, I support others in recovery. That is the fellowship.

Internet Marketing's insight:

While in jail the CEO seriously considers his life long battle with alcohol. He thinks about all the terrible things that have happened while intoxicated. He thinks about all the times he has committed to quitting but has never been able to stay quit. For the first time in his life he honestly accepts that he has no control over his drinking. He admits to himself that he is in fact an alcoholic. Upon release from the jail he enters a 90 day alcohol treatment program and never looks back. Today he has 10 years of sobriety.

The Female Office Bully - Top Addiction Treatment & Recovery Directory

Bully’s do not exist only in the school yard, they are alive and well in the work place too.  Office bully’s may not physically push you in the hall, but they can make your job and life a living hell. If you have found yourself to be the victim of a clever office bully, read on.

Internet Marketing's insight:
Street Smart-Passive Aggressive

Clever bully’s are street smart and think they are more capable than someone who is formally educated. For the most part clever individuals are passive aggressive which can stem from a variety of personality disorders combined with intense feelings of inferiority. The bottom line is that they are jealous and full of fear. The fear stems from having confidence exclusively in their own abilities which are precarious at best. Clever people are securely established in the world system and the unseen realm is of no importance to them.  They may claim to believe in God, but their God is not personal to them. They operate exclusively from a self centered nature. If they cannot touch it, see it, taste it, hear it or smell it…it doesn’t have any real significance.

Anxiety & Living on Purpose are Incompatible - New Life Recovery®

Internet Marketing's insight:

When I was 17,  I attended my first aerobics class. I loved it, and I mean I loved it. I loved the loud dance music combined with exercise and from that moment on I wanted to be an aerobics instructor. I loved teaching aerobics so much that I did not even care if I got paid, just as long as I could teach. When I was 20 I opened my own aerobic fitness center which was a great success. The wonderful thing about it was that although I made a living teaching aerobics, the money was not the motivator. That is the other great thing about finding our purpose, we can usually turn it into our vocation.

Why Not To Date In Early Recovery - New Life Recovery®

An old timer is someone who has been sober for a long time and does the deal. One of the suggestions offered was 90 meetings in 90 days, another was no dating for your first year in sobriety.
Internet Marketing's insight:

I agree. Until we are grounded in our recovery program our emotions are out of control. 12 months is a minimum to give to ourselves to heal.

Depending on our drug of choice, it can take up to 24 months before our brain synapses starts to function more normally. Making relationship decisions during this time make us more vulnerable to relapse.
