As B2B marketers, we can skip numbers 5 and 6. The others are obvious (and I emphasized these factors many times). Here's what's missing:

1) The need for social media analytics with revenue attribution will grow

2) SlideShare will continue to grow in prominence.

When is the best time to tweet, best time to post to Facebook or the best time to send emails or best time to publish blogposts? We found out today.We’re pretty keen on optimal timing for social media here at Buffer, and I figured it was high time I collected all the information we have about online communication into one place. I’ve collected research and stats on Twitter, Facebook, email and blogging to help you find the best time to communicate with others in each format.

 

The tricky thing I’ve come across is that since the web is still so new, a lot of the research available to us is conflicting. We really need more time and more studies to get definitive answers about what works best, and the fact that our audience members are constantly changing their own activity patterns makes it even harder to work out for sure. Looking at the latest social media stats seems to only confirm that.

 

So my suggestion would be to use this guide as just that—a guide to help you work out what to test for your own audience, so that you can see what actually works best in your specific case....

Mucha gente piensa todavía que las redes sociales son una pérdida de tiempo (o que son un mero entretenimiento para los que tienen tiempo) o cosa de jovencillos, por no hablar de los que creen que el uso de las redes sociales se limita a seguir las sandeces que dice algún que otro personaje de la farándula. Afortunadamente cada vez son menos los detractores de Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn o GooglePlus y más las personas que se dan cuenta del valor que tienen las redes sociales como fuente de información y contactos para los profesionales («un nuevo mundo del saber, donde el aprendizaje de idiomas, el contacto con otros universos, con otras personas, es muy bueno para la creatividad, para la innovación», dice Eduard Punset). El éxito de las redes sociales ha sido meteórico y en el caso del sector de la interpretación podemos decir que 2011 ha supuesto un año decisivo en el que la mayor parte de las vertientes de la profesión se han sumado a este movimiento, y asociaciones, instituciones, profesionales y empresas han consolidado su presencia en el mundo 2.0 a través de Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, GooglePlus o los blogs.

We don't normally scoop product or feature announcements, but this one was interesting for two reasons:

1) the continued integration of social into the MA platform (separate monitoring not necessary)

2) and this quote: "To help marketers overcome this challenge, the Oracle Eloqua team collaborated with our friends from Oracle Social to create and deliver a more comprehensive, scalable, and integrated modern marketing solution." In other words, Dev is working more closely together.
