Figures from Internet World Stats tell us there were roughly 520 million internet users in Europe in 2012.  This represents 63.5% of the European population. Out of these internet users in Western Europe, 62% are also social network users. These stats tend to tick up on a weekly basis but the message here is that most internet users are also social media users.

Selon un récent sondage, plus de 94% des recruteurs interrogés ont déjà utilisé ou prévu de commencer à utiliser les réseaux sociaux dans le recrutement soit un bond de 40% comparé 2011.

Facebook and you better have yourself some Pinterest sourcing sessions. I’m serious. So serious, in fact, I Binged “Social Recruiting” (well what did you expect) and got over 42 million results, most of which were a horrifying mix of conferences and poorly written blogs by people who couldn’t make a placement if their mortgage payment depended on it. Yes, I Googled it too – 159M results of the same tired crap.

Employment site Jobvite’s 2013 Social Recruiting Survey showed about 94 percent of employers either use or plan to use social media to recruit workers.

That’s 5 percentage points more than in 2011 and a 16-percentage-point increase over 2008, according to Jobvite.
