Great article on the 1st of a 2 part series on the  two things innovative disruptive companies have in common

1 - an overwhelming desire to disrupt their competitors by re-imagining the ways things are done

For $22K you get a robot; trainable by non-technical personnel, with no costly programming needed. And flexible and adaptable enough to change quickly across tasks, lines and teams. 

This is v impressive and low cost. Humans no longer required for repetitve tasks!

Nice idea, Candidate adds CV, Registered employer searches site for anonymous CVs. Employer sends contact request & job spec to anonymous candidate. If accepted contact is granted & the CV is released to the employer. Cost to employer for contact requests & CVs released. No indications of numbers of candidates or employers or actual costs so difficult at this stage to understand how this may take off?!?!

Interesting graphic.  The savings behind hiring an Independent Contractor (IC) shown is due to ICs not needing to provide themselves with Workers Comp or Unemployment Insurance (in general, varies from state to state and I haven't researched all 50 states to confidently say it is the same in all states).  However, the premise is a little off.  Google and the big tech companies do want employees because they want control and complete ownership of what their workers do.  The issues with the big tech companies currently is that they are hiring skills for specific projects and then discarding the employee rather than developing him/her.  That is why they are looking to obtain foreign worker visas.
