Teaching students the importance of having and using manners is nothing new to teachers. However, what has changed is the type of etiquette kids needs today—namely, the digital kind. True, please, thank you and excuse me are still significant, but in addition to these basics, students growing up in this ever-connected, social media crazed world require much more. Concepts such as online privacy, sharing and creating a positive digital footprint through the demonstration of responsible online behaviors are just as vital. Whenever I think of a teacher, I also think of a scholar. It has always been apparent to me that if one is to be an effective teacher, one must continually learn. Of course that is not always a pat...
As educators we must be learners first. If we are to be better educators, we must first be better learners. We may not always have a choice in what we learn.
After so long not being involved with learning, many educators do not know how much they do not know.

Agree. Teachers must be open minded and willing to learn more and more , (a lifetime edeavour , )to kep up and be equiped to teach well their "pupils" on overall advances bat specially their field of expertize ! Be up to date all the time to teach well and really enjoy what they do . I know I have been a teacher in the past .
