Happy NewYear! It is that time of the year when resolutions fly thick and fast and 'trends to watch out for' dominate professional circles, so here is another one. I am particularly interested in two of them- second screen viewing and brands become publishers. To think of TV as another device to browse the net and consume content is a very interesting idea! And so is content marketing- with so many owned media tools- website, blogs, social media pages/accounts, newsletters, mobile apps etc. at the disposal of advertisers- they really need not rely on paid/earned media any more as core elements of the marketing mix!  Stay tuned for more updates on these two trends.

Does RTB signal the death of the sales force? Unlikely, considering that the  human element is still a very essential part of any sale. But sales teams definitely need to keep up to date with the latest and be there to offer the client right advice and guidance and play the role of a facilitator rather than a seller.
