It is one more way for students to develop the side of their brain that is not developed by basic reading and writing skills. Helps students with their printing and alphabet memorization.
Becky Rodriguez's insight:

I remember being in the third grade and learning how to write in cursive, i really never saw the point in learning because till this day i don't really write in cursive. Apparently in Florida most parents want their kids to be able to read and write in cursive. So for the 2014-2015 school year all 5th must be able to write and read cursive in order to pass elementary. From my point of view cursive might not seem so important that it must be a requirement for fifth graders to graduate.

Nik Hoot is quite the athlete. He's a successful wrestler at a high school - a fact that would likely earn him news coverage anyway. But Nik has overcome the ki (Amazing story!!
Becky Rodriguez's insight:

Most teens with disabilities are usually depressed about life, but Nik Hoot is most certainly not! For him not having both of his legs complete and part of his fingers he is doing great in life. He is on the wrestling team for his school. His birth parents wanted to abort him but failed so eventually they set him up for adoption but was rescued by the Hoot family! They didn't see him for being disabled but as any other kid. Who are we as a human being to judge any another human, we should never judge a book by its cover. It comes to show that if you set your mind to something and stick with it, you'll be able to achieve your goal and strive to the best! Becky Rodriguez's insight:

Wow! I personally was shocked about this article. It is now good to know that if your planning to abort your baby you should go somewhere much like a professional place. Its such a cruel thing to abort a baby but who is one to judge. The harsh part was that this baby Rowan wasnt born dead, he was much born alive. No one from the clinic helped the poor women with her child which eventually led for him to die. She tried her best to get some help but all workers refused to give her some attention and help. If anything they pretended to get some help but never returned. Some worker Vilonce denys that the baby was born alive and she was mistaken. The clinic wasnt shut down. But ladies now think twice before you abort you might never know what can happen.
