So much easier for pupils to look & learn new words about buildings.Instead of searching on the webb for different pictures to make a chart.

Great!

A Diagram Of 21st Century Pedagogy -

A Diagram Of 21st Century Pedagogy - | Reading Comprehension | Scoop.it

he modern learner has to sift through a lot of information.

That means higher level thinking skills like analysis and evaluation are necessary just to reduce all the noise and establish the credibility of information.

There is also the matter of utility. Evaluating information depends as much on context and circumstance as it does the nature of the data itself. The essay full of fluff may distill quite nicely down to a 140 character tweet. A trivial fact about governments may appear useless in a research paper on the 3 branches of government, but could find utility in a project-based learning artifact on the evolution of government systems worldwide.

50 Education Technology Tools You Can Start Using Today - Edudemic

50 Education Technology Tools You Can Start Using Today - Edudemic | Reading Comprehension | Scoop.it

Finding the best education technology tools is a time-consuming task. It may even be viewed as a chore (for some). Typically, one tracks down a handful of useful apps or web tools and puts them through their paces at home. Then you probably don’t use any of them because each tool took far too long to understand, use, become accustomed to, and actually implement in a classroom.

That’s why I was so excited to find this Symbaloo created by user lcobbs detailing 50 great classroom tools that are all easy to implement into just about any classroom.

From Animoto toPrezi to Dropbox to Stixy (wait what?), there’s a lot to check out. Don’t know all 50 tools? I didn’t! Click on each icon to get an idea about each tool and learn more.

This an many exciting possibilities...

Karen Taylor's curator insight, November 8, 2013 12:56 AM

I see great possibilities with this. Giving students a global view without them leaving the school campus. No unnecessary expenses for parents and think of the new friends they could meet. A child from a rural village can travel the world through Connected Classrooms.

More people are running to charity tube to post free videos and watch free videos than posting on you tube. Try posting at charity tube and you will never leave. http://www.africatube.net/ More visitors and more video views. Don't take our word for it, try it. Post one same video on youtube and put it on  http://www.africatube.net/ and return ater five hours and compare the viewers rate and decide for yourself. Create your very own group or forum and control who watch it and invite everyone to watch the video. Above all, post video in English or in any language and viewers can watch video description in their own language. Try it and let us know your experience. Above all it is absolutely free like youtube
