A mommy/teacher blog that explores the latest in childrens books, I was especially enamoured by an interesting post introducing apps that promotes reading Shakespeare for students. The apps, targeting 12-16 year-olds, give young readers a visual sense of the story as well as helpful information regarding language, characters and text. It's CliffsNotes without the shortcuts!

I love the community withn this website, from the blogs written by scholars and classroom teachers, to the resources available for teachers, parents, principals, librarians and other professionals dedicated to teaching kids how to read. There are immediately applicable features such as reading guides as well as news on the latest research. The site is truly an interactive hub, a place where parents with questions regarding their child's reading abilities can easily find answers.
