Beambox: NEXT - the tower that glows to your commands

Beambox: NEXT - the tower that glows to your commands | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Beambox NEXT is the second version of the cheap, easy to build light tower. It runs off of an Arduino Nano and costs less than $15. What's new is this version is the redesigned base, accompanied by 3 capacitive touch buttons and a much heavier wooden base making it less prone to falling over. The Beambox: NEXT has many effect presets that you can chose from using the capacitive touch button, this means you can use the Beambox: NEXT without a computer. The presets are customisable, with some including: Rainbow cycle Fade in-out of any colors Twinkle effect in any color Just colorsAll of these effects are customization in the thousands of colors to choose from. There is even an option to control the beambox with your computer using the light sequencing program, Vixenlights! (not my program)Don't like to code? No problem! All the code is provided for you so ...

Arduino, MIT app inventor servo motor controller

Arduino, MIT app inventor servo motor controller | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Hello again everybody!! I hope all of you are fine and in good mood and condition always. Today I would like to share my experiment on using the MIT appinventor on controlling servo motor attached to arduino. Well, wait a minute, my experiment before this also use appinventor, sooooo what's the difference? Well, the difference is that in this experiment I am going to use the slider function in the appinventor as opposed to the experiment before, where I only use button functions. There will be two parts in the instructables, arduino part and the appinventor part. So let's get started shall we?

Arduino Nano: Read multiple DS1820/DS18S20 Maxim One Wire Thermometers with Visuino

Arduino Nano: Read multiple DS1820/DS18S20 Maxim One Wire Thermometers with Visuino | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
One of the reasons the OneWire Maxim DS1820/DS18S20//DS18B20 Thermometers are so popular is that multiple thermometers can be connected and even powered by only 2 wires. I already posted Instructables on how to connect one Thermometer, and how to get the Address of a Thermometer. In this Instructable, I will show you how you can connect multiple Thermometers to a single Arduino pin, and read their temperature, with the help of Visuino. Please note that the annotation on some of the pictures in this Instructable will work correctly on some browsers only after you click on the image to expand it. Please make sure you click on the image to see the annotation showing the correct spot on the image!

Supercapacitor Programmable Attiny LED flashlight

Supercapacitor Programmable Attiny LED flashlight | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Long time ago, I saw that some drivers in flashlights are using Attiny microcontrollers to deal with different modes. At that time I did not have arduino and I did not know how to program one. Times have changed and my skills in programming grown. I wanted to program Attiny85 with arduino as ISP to achieve results similiar to ones that were in flashlights. I wanted at least three modes: 100% ->30% -> strobe I had really hard time programming Attiny. I am really not good in programming so it took me some time to achieve results that you can see in the video. In this instructable I will show you how to program Attiny using Arduino, modify code to set brightness levels, and simple wiring diagram. This is more like example what can you make using my code. I am currently making full size CREE flashlight using the same ...

Arduino Controlled Kitchen Timer

Arduino Controlled Kitchen Timer | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
All of you must have experienced this that you have something being cooked on your gas stove while on the other side you get busy watching TV or get a deep conversation that you realize on detecting a smell that it was completely spoiled just because of your carelessness. This little Arduino controlled device is a simple solution to the problem! This is basically a mini battery operated portable kitchen timer which can be set to any number of hours and minutes and tells you with buzzer beeps that the provided time is over. The buzzer is loud enough to be heard even in another room thus can save your dishes from turning burn black. Wonder how great would it be if you made one yourself? Here's how to!When talking about the inner workings, this project consists of Arduino as the brain, a Liquid crystal display to display time, a ...
