Arduino MPPT Solar Charger Shield - Electronics-Lab

Arduino MPPT Solar Charger Shield - Electronics-Lab | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Lukas Fässler has designed a MPPT Solar Charger Arduino Shield and document it on the link below. A Solar MPPT charger is used to convert the solar panel voltage to the optimal voltage for charging a battery in the most efficient way. This way the solar panel works on the maximum power point and thusRead More

ESP8266 and Visuino: Control Servo Remotely over Wi-Fi with Rotary Encoder

ESP8266 and Visuino: Control Servo Remotely over Wi-Fi with Rotary Encoder | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
ESP8266 modules are great low cost stand alone controllers with built in Wi-Fi. In this Instructable I will show you how you can control a Servo remotely over Wi-Fi with a Rotary Encoder. The Instructable is a similar but more advanced version of the "Arduino Nano and Visuino: Control Servo with Rotary Encoder" Instructable. In the Instructable, I will use 2 NodeMCU modules. One version 0.9, and the other 1.0. The NodeMCU are the easiest way to program and experiment with ESP8266 controllers. This Instructable however can easily be done with other modules, and the Servo module can even use ESP-01 module as it needs only one GPIO pin to connect to the Servo. Please note that the annotation on some of the pictures in this Instructable will work correctly on some browsers only after you click on the image to expand it.Please make sure you click on the image to see ...

RPi Christmas Lights

RPi Christmas Lights | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Vote for me in the Full Spectrum Laser contest! (please)About 2 years ago I found these amazing little computers. I saw the IO pins and thought how cool is that that I now have a real computer that I can interact directly with the world around me. At the same time I was beginning to get into stage tech (sound and lights), which I still love. and I thought to myself: how crazy would it be if i could control these lights with a Raspberry Pi, really crazy. Well I fell short of that exact goal but rather took it into a different direction. I thought about my favorite holiday, Christmas, and it hit me that I could make a Christmas lights display that would be "choreographed" and well that's when I began to research and put together what you will see here. There Is A Lot Of Reading But It ...

Lazy Study Lights Controller

Lazy Study Lights Controller | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
This Instructable is a write up of my first ever Arduino project. As is generally the case with hobbyist engineers, I thought long and hard to come up with a project that was not only cool but has some actual practical value. This was the sum total of my deliberations at the time.DetailsThe lazy study light controller comprises an Arduino Uno, Arduino Ethernet Shield and some supporting electronics to control outputs (the lights), read inputs (HTTP client and button presses), monitor the server internal enclosure temperature and provision a real time clock (RTC). Block diagram above. The design allows for two generic ways to cycle the lights; Web client interaction Manual button press via switch boxThe picture of the web page above is a screen grab of the html delivered by the server to an IE11 client. It allows the user to switch the lights on and off, set current time and ...

Raspberry Pi: Physical Backdoor Part 1

Raspberry Pi: Physical Backdoor Part 1 | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
This tutorial is one technique to use the full functionality of your Pi. The small size makes it ideal for inside hacks, but still has the capabilities of a average desktop or computer. I should mention that a tutorial that OTW has done, but I'm gonna take it a step further. OTW made a brilliant article, but only touched on the surface of the possibilities. I hope this article will both show you many the possibilities and also allow you to start causing havoc, but I'm planning on making this a mini series within my Raspberry Pi series. So as OTW always says, lets boot up our Kali (Pi in this
