Re: Can I feed Arduino with 18v? | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Power the servos separately. You don't need to add the servo voltages. All of them should share a common ground with the Arduino. You do need to add the current. Each servo will draw two or three amps so you need six to nine amps available at the supply.

I think that's basically what the SevSeg library does CrossRoads.
As a matter of interest though, the default config for that library is to have the resistor on the common only, ie one per digit not one per segment.

Wireless Arcade Game: a littleBits Project by emily_littlebits

Wireless Arcade Game: a littleBits Project by emily_littlebits | Raspberry Pi | Scoop.it
Create an arcade console and play Pong wirelessly on your computer screen. You will use 2 slide dimmers as inputs and an Arduino Bit to interface with your computer.*To make this project, you will need to download the Arduino software. You will also need to download Processing to run the Processing sketch. This sketch will allow you to send two analog sensor values from the Arduino module to a Processing sketch that is running a version of the game Pong. The Pong paddle positions move based on the sensor values in this two player game. For more “getting started” Arduino sketches, click here. For support check out the littleBits and Arduino forums. To learn more about coding, find examples on Arduino’s website. This project is a REMIX of the Analog Pong project by littleBits.
