We train the model and run inference with python on a Raspberry Pi 5 - single hidden layer of 10 neurons.

This is run on a Raspberry Pi 5 with 4GB RAM running the Debian 12 Bookworm OS with Python version 3.11.2.

The neural network architecture is show around the 3 minute mark and has a 784 neuron input layer, a 10 neuron hidden layer, and a 10 neuron output layer. The code is here: https://www.kaggle.com/code/wwsalmon/simple-mnist-nn-from-scratch-numpy-no-tf-keras/notebook

We wanted to see if this would run locally on a RasPi5 instead of a cloud-based notebook like kaggle, and if interference (forward propogation) would be similar, which it was.

Here are steps to get this working:

Get training set in CSV format: https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/oddrationale/mnist-in-csv
Unzip to a place you'll remember like desktop. There will be 2 files: mnist_train.csv and mnist_test.csv

This is the third and last lesson about how we can utilize Arduino (microcontrollers in general), in order to improve user-experience on Hi-Fi and Hi-End Audio. In this third video I'll explore further opportunities made available by the platform.
We'll see how I programmed Arduino in order to perform FM Stereo / Mono switching, as well as DAC’s optical / coax switching.
Furthermore, I'll talk about 'idle' energy saving mode, which stops CPU clock, but keeps the status of digital output pins; a very useful feature for sake of energy saving and noise reduction.
