In the past couple of weeks, the question of how Google calculates cost per conversion in AdWords has been percolating in the PPC community.

Explanation for indiscrepancies in cost per conversion in AdWords

- ineligible clicks (i.e., source does not have cookie for Google to track), are excluded from the calculation

- actual cost might be higher than AdWord's calculated cost per conversion
