I love the idea of teaching children the different styles in reading and writing in other languages. Wang also shares the importance of using age appropriate literature materials when teaching children the home language. Teaching that cultures have different writing styles also gives children an opportunity to see that there are many ways to express ideas, beyond the main stream language. It also teaches children the importance of code switching.
