Lance Armstrong has admitted for the first time that he used steroids, EPO and PED during his cycling career. He claimed in a television interview with Oprah Winfrey that he would not have been able to win seven Tour de France titles without cheating, such was the prevalence of performance-enhancing drugs in the sport at the time.
radiomike's insight:
The Guardian suggests that Oprah was the real dope for allowing Armstrong to evade answers to some of her questions, but I seriously doubt that any other broadcaster could have elicited a confession from the man. Forget the nitpicking over details, Armstrong has spilled the beans. Delete the scoop?

Sky Italia, the Italian pay-television broadcaster, has been cleared of abusing its dominant position in buying rights to soccer's 2010 and 2014 World Cups and the Uefa Champions League, Europe's top clubs competition, after a long-running investigation carried out by the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, the Italian antitrust authority. AGCM has rejected claims by Mediaset, the media group controlled by former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, that News Corporation-owned Sky Italia had taken advantage of its position in the domestic pay-television market by acquiring exclusive rights to the World Cup across all delivery mechanisms. The investigation was widened in 2011 to include Sky Italia's acquisition of multi-platform rights to the Champions League from 2012-13 to 2014-15, but the competition watchdog has cleared the pay-television broadcaster of antitrust behaviour in its acquisition of rights to both competitions.
