Dorothy Retha Cook's curator insight, March 24, 3:14 PM

Some African American school age qualified children with disabilities are allowed to enroll and attend Wilson County Schools per WCS attorney instruction by letter then there are some African American school age qualified children with disability who are not allowed to enroll and attend the WCS per the WCS attorney letter. Now that selective racism or is it not? Could it be the difference in the content of the WCS attorney letters one is in compliance with the WCS enrollment policy and the other such as WCS attorney Rachel B. Hitch 2/18/13 dated letter to then Prose Rep Dorothy Cook during NC OAH Special Education Contested Court Case 13-EDC-07545 is not in compliance with WCS enrollment policy and WCS do not have a policy in place by which enrollment and Attendance into the WCS per the WCS attorney Rachel Hitch 2/18/13 dated letter can be complied with. Nor does the State of NC Board of Education have any such policy in place either. Shame shame shame years of no education with no criminal charges against the NC Public Schools employees for their years of Truancy violations in NC for them it's not a crime not even a law on the book to determine if there are grounds by.
