Racism and prejudice is apparent in some countries and children are the most affected by it. Racism and prejudice can also cause catastrophic damage to victims such as a faster rate of aging and increased risk of behavioural problems. Despite the society understanding that racism occurs in many areas of life, there are only superficial ways to tackle this problem such as multicultural events in school which does not highlight the seriousness of the problem such as biasness and inequalities. As such, often many cases of racism and prejudice goes unwarranted such that people treat racism as a norm in the society for some countries. Therefore, racism and prejudice is a reoccurring problem for many people.

This article tells us that racism and self-esteem are interlinked with one another. A person who has high self-confidence is better at accepting people around him, while a person with low self-confidence would have difficulties as he cannot accept himself. Thus building up the pride in people is essential
