Occupational Health Service Australia (OHSA) is a Gold Coast based training company providing several courses in mining, construction, high risk and plant, and OHS/Rehab. Brad could continue his learning and enrol in one of the many courses applicable to his workplace needs. Courses that can help Brad manage OHS issues include: Construction white card, Work safely at heights, Confined spaces, Fire extinguisher, Hazardous substances and dangerous goods, and Accident investigation/risk management. OHSA also offers certificates and diplomas in workplace health and safety. These courses will help Brad better understand OHS legislation, as well as learn strategies and techniques for the implementation of procedures to ensure a safe work environment. It is recommended that Brad Paull bookmarks this page, so he can keep informed about events that he can attend in Queensland that are relevant to him. These events may include workplace health and safety demonstrations or seminars with business leaders and safety experts. Upon navigating this webpage, I also found a link to ‘safety workshops’ that are designed to help small to medium businesses improve their workplace safety and productivity, while reducing workplace injuries and costs. There are numerous potential hazards surrounding the use and management of pools. Specifically, Greg Bower must be aware of the hazards associated with chemical management. Concentrated chemicals can be toxic, unstable and produce poisonous fumes or fire when mixed with other chemicals. As such, Greg must have access to the workplace's Chemical Register and the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of chemicals. The Segregation of Dangerous Goods Chart will also direct Greg on how to correctly store particular combinations of substances. Plant and equipment must also be maintained, including grating, fittings, electrical wiring, and tiles.
Brad Paull (my fiance!) works in a hard and unregulated environment in Papua New Guinea. OHS issues present in the construction industry have a huge diversity, including the correct use of PPE, safe working procedures (such as working at heights), manual handling issues, electrical safety, biological hazards (such as malaria), thermal hazards and many more. There is also the challenge of overcoming any cultural issues that are present between workers.

Every time Benjamin Padmin climbs a ladder or works above ground, he is placing himself at the risk of falling from a height. The Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 states that specific control measures are required when there is a risk of a fall of at least 3 metres in housing construction work. In accordance with the Hierarchy of Controls, Benjamin has identified that he cannot undertake the work on the ground or on a solid construction (elimination) or undertake the work using a passive fall protection device (substitution). As a result of this, Benjamin ensures that he always uses a work positioning system when conducting work on a roof to ensure his safety.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) issues in the child care industry often involve hazardous manual tasks that result in workers developing a Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD). These can occur from the everyday activities required of a child care worker, such as lifting children, moving play equipment, the incorrect storage of supplies, working at low levels and sitting on small chairs.

Factors to consider include: joints being relaxed and in comfortable positions, work is kept to as close as possible to the body, repetitive tasks (such as using a keyboard) are performed for short periods, maintaining good posture, and including task variety and breaks.
