RISR – a Wearable Sensor to improve the Body Language.

RISR – a Wearable Sensor to improve the Body Language. | Quantified-Self & Gamification | Scoop.it

RISR is a wearable sensor network that teaches you how to improve your body language through vibration feedback. It detects and analyzes through an Infrared camera the posture of your social target. Algorythms based on psychological theories of gestures (eg the Mirroring effect) calculate the appropriate posture for you and make the sensors vibrate to give you the best control on your body's nonverbal communication.

There are a lot of questions remaining about the reality of this product and its detailed hardware-software specifications.

Techcrunch featured the video on Sept. 10th. But no corporate information on RISR website. It seems that the product is developped by School of Art & Design in Basel, Switzerland.  Anyway, the concept seems interesting. Waiting getting more information.

Nike+ Fuelband vs. FitBit Ultra vs. Striiv

Nike+ Fuelband vs. FitBit Ultra vs. Striiv | Quantified-Self & Gamification | Scoop.it

Yesterday morning, I tooled up myself with 3 of my lovely desirable sensors.

In the afternoon, I was troubled as the 3 sensors displayed different measures for steps as for calories burned (delta is very high). Which sensor do you think we should believe the most ?

TY dbtmobile, I am to publish other tests results. I think that I shouldn't wear the sensors while I 'm sitting at my desk. My colleague made a test this morning btwn FitBit and Striiv and only while walking. Steps counts are very closed. But calories burned are still very different (1328 for Fitbit, 257 for Striiv!)

Nike+Kinect Training

Unveiled at the E3 by Stefan Olander, Nike's VP of Digital Sport (who also released at the same time his must-read book "Velocity"),  Nike+ Kinect Training will bridge the gap between your outdoor workouts and your living-room training in front of your Kinect.

Developped by Microsoft studios, the UX is an astonishing mutli-sport experience. As the trailer seems to reveal it, you could gather your Nike+ Fuel Gauge with the ones you will fill through your Kinect Fitness experience. Coming this fall. Can't wait...
