Capture anything you see on your PC screen with SnapIt. It is convenient tool for graphic designers, bloggers who capture and crop images for their posts, for tech writers who need to describe menus and interfaces of applications, web designers and those who work with graphics every day. It captures and auto saves images with one click.

This is a great way to create and share video messages using only your webcam. You don't need any special software or to upload large files. You just record directly into your browser. Via Nik Peachey
With Microsoft Expression Encoder 4, you can record a movie of your desktop screen of any size and simultaneously capture the webcam video and audio narration from a microphone.
Alternatively, you may capture the screen activity without the audio and add a voiceover later at the time of producing the video using the “Audio Overlay” feature.
Expression Encoder has been around for a while but with one limitation – the free version would only let you screen capture 10-minute video clips and if you were to record clip of longer duration, you had to switch to Expression Encoder Pro.
Well the good news is that Microsoft has recently released a new version – Expression Encoder SP2 – that contains bug fixes and stability enhancements and they’ve also dropped the time limitation.

Screenr | Instant screencasts: Just click record. Screenr’s web-based screen recorder makes it a breeze to create and share your screencasts around the web. Just click the record button, capture your screen & voice, and share the link.
Screenr is a free web-based screencasting tool and you can login with a Twitter, Google, Facebook or Yahoo account. You can record up to 5 minutes, when you've finished you can preview your recording and then decide if you want to publish it.
Once published you can post to YouTube or you can download your video. If you don't want it to be public once it's published just download and then delete on the screenr.com website.
