Why Does My Dog... Make a Beeline for Cat Food? | puppy training | Scoop.it
There's a well-known scene in the movie Jaws where Richard Dreyfuss' character cuts open the belly of a shark and pulls out some unexpected items, including a Louisiana license plate.

Caroline Countryman's insight:

I am sure as pet owners of cats and dogs, this has happened to all of us once or twice.  Good to know, your dog will not be seriously harmed if your dog decides he wants cat food for a snack. I am wondering if the same is true for cats who prefer to snack on dog food?

Puppies Rescued From Trash Bag Get A Second Chance | WNEP.com

Puppies Rescued From Trash Bag Get A Second Chance | WNEP.com | puppy training | Scoop.it
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP – Veterinarians in Luzerne County gave the go-ahead for the adoption of five puppies, found abandoned in a trash bag and left to die.
Caroline Countryman's insight:

I often hear people talk about how difficult puppy training can be, and I agree, it's hard work ,but so worth the effort.  After reading this article, on how someone left these adoreable puppies in a garbage bag for dead,  its not the puppies who need training, but this person needs training on humanity.  The curelty of such an act is just, so hard to comprehend.  I get it, puppies are alot of work, their expensive, and a life time committment, and not everyone is ready for that, but give someone else a chance to love and care for the puppies, instead of destroying them.

Fortunately, in this story, the puppies have a happy ending and will survive to see another day and will have the opportunity to experience training, from someone who cares enough to put in the time and effort it takes to have a great companion for life.
