Linda Hanlon's insight:

Okay, so the Columbia River watershed drains into the Pacific Ocean, and it is not part fo the Salish Sea, but both affect the Pacific ecosystem. Perhaps decision-makers will warm up to the word, ecosystem, or if not, perhaps words like, health or pollution, or terms alike quality-of-life will do? Bottomline, all decisions should answer the question, "What is the right thing to do?" And, since we can not yet live on the moon, it's tough to answer that question without including a converstation about ecosytems, Doc.
