My award-winning iBook 'Portland's Japantown Revealed' lets the reader explore the WWII era story by blending historic and contemporary photos.

“Portland Revealed” widgets allow the reader to blend historic and contemporary photographs. I created them by seeking out locations of historic photographs where the architecture had been preserved and re-photographing the contemporary setting. The resulting overlay lets the user “paint” the historic figures into modern settings - it's demonstrated in this video.

Since iBA 2.3 came out, we have the ability to build and export ePub3 eBooks with text, images and widgets (Gallery, Multimedia, and HTML). This doesn´t mean that we can build ePubs for every platf...

We have great news for all of us creating eBooks using iBooks Author because the rumor was true, we will be able to enjoy our interactive eBooks also on iPhone and iPod Touch with the update to iOS 8.4. We´ve heard some rumours about this since las year (2014), but during this month (June) these rumours grew more and more. Today I downloaded iOS 8.4 beta to test this theory and they totally work, they work a little bit different than with using the iPad but I was surprised how Apple pulled it off. These are a few thing I found using an iPhone 5S
