Well, I guess the seven strategies in this article do make some sense for writers of blogs, such as me. A very important realization is that what we write very often is not very reader friendly, moreover this stems from the fact that a lot of writing fails to have a conversational element to it. For many, increased readership could mean increased income, for those who want to shift from part time blogging to full time blogging!

By playing around with brushes in Photoshop, Bernabé successfully fuses a cloud-like pattern with a gradient of color, together with a sans-serif font as the backbone. The result is unexpectedly stunning.

Looking back on the theme landscape of 2014, a clear design trend emerged that highlights WordPress’ roots as a blogging platform. Minimalist, content-centric themes took center stage in the official WordPress Themes Directory, outpacing their more visually-bloated commercial counterparts.


This past year saw a major renaissance in themes for the personal blogger, particularly designs that showcase large, featured images. Many theme designers opted to hide navigation menus and sidebars behind a slideout menu, which also works well for mobile displays.

The “trick” here is to create content buckets you can easily fill in addition to the ones you fill with your own, original content. The same way you might share famous quotes for “motivational Monday” or old photos on “throwback Thursday” on your social media channels, you can find ways to create content categories, or buckets, on your blog that you don’t have to create from scratch.
