Coke Zero Made a Drinkable Billboard That Is Actually Serving Soda to NCAA Fans

Coke Zero Made a Drinkable Billboard That Is Actually Serving Soda to NCAA Fans | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

Here's a fun way for brands to dole out product samples. As part of its sponsorship of this weekend's NCAA Men's Final Four competition, Coke Zero and Ogilvy & Mather installed a "drinkable billboard" that shoots soda through a massive straw into a public drinking fountain.

The 23,000-pound novelty is in White River State Park in Indianapolis, where the games are taking place. Coke Zero flows through 4,500 feet of straw to spell out "Taste It." Then the liquid travels from the bottom of the billboard to a sampling area with six fountain spouts where people can taste the soda....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Epic creativity!

The National Park Service, a division of the DOI, is celebrating its centennial anniversary next year with a new campaign to encourage adventurers to get out there and "Find Your Park." There are more than 400 sites overseen by the NPS (you can find one near you here), and the Interior Department manages more than 500 million acres of public lands, so there's plenty to photograph.

Take a look at the spectacular spring-themed photos posted to the Department's account over the past few weeks below. You can follow along throughout the year @usinterior.

Why Readers, Writers and Editors All Need to Know About Blendle | Mediashift

Why Readers, Writers and Editors All Need to Know About Blendle | Mediashift | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

For traditional media companies looking for an alternative, Blendle may have an answer. The website essentially acts as “Spotify for journalism.“ It’s a reinvention of the newsstand, built for the Internet, where readers pay by the article instead of per issue or through a monthly subscription.

This all occurs seamlessly in a way that prioritizes the user: your credit card information is stored on the site for easy payment, and an unorthodox refund option allows users to get their money back if they’re not satisfied with the piece.

Traditional publishers seem to be excited by Blendle’s potential to provide a desperately needed new revenue stream. The New York Times (a Blendle investor), the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post have already signed up, and more American publishers are likely on the way...

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Is Blendle the future of journalism survival? Pay per article and refunds if you hate the article? I'm liking it.

Seven critical elements of a great content brief | Velocity Partners | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

Brief-writing is the unsung art of content marketing. Get it right and you dramatically increase your chances of hitting a home run. Get it wrong and you’re more likely to win the lottery (it’s possible but don’t hold your breath).

And since most marketers aren’t the ones actually writing or designing or producing the content in their editorial calendars, the brief is the most important place to exert leverage and make an impact on the final product. It all starts here.

So what goes into a great content brief? The usual stuff plus six critical extras you don’t see in many briefs....
