Anonymous threatens Fox News Web site over Occupy coverage

Anonymous threatens Fox News Web site over Occupy coverage | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

Hacker group says in a new video it will take down the network's Web site on November 5 for what it calls biased coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests.

The group said it is targeting the network for what it called biased news coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests occurring in cities across the country.

The network's "continued right-wing, conservative propaganda against the occupations" is the group's catalyst for its intention of "destroying the Fox News Web site," a digitally generated voice on the video explains. "Since they will not stop belittling the occupiers, we will simply shut them down."...

Retailers Waste More Than Half Of Digital Budgets On Bot Traffic

Retailers Waste More Than Half Of Digital Budgets On Bot Traffic | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

Suspicious Web traffic in the U.S. rose 36% sequentially in the third quarter of 2014, and bot traffic grew by 35%. Data released Friday identifies 55% of the traffic on retail sites as suspicious with 34% of traffic confirmed as bot. The data defines "suspicious" as non-human behavior.

U.S. retailers could waste about $4.6 billion of eMarketer's projected $11 billion spent on digital advertising this year on bot traffic fraud, estimates Solve Media. The company's latest Quarterly Bot Traffic Market Advisory focuses on U.S. retailers.

Solve Media CEO Ari Jacoby believes 2015 will become the year of verified human audiences. Media companies are "demanding to purchase only human ad traffic and viewable ads."

Brands waste millions of dollars annually. If Bloomingdale's spends $200 million annual in digital, "we estimate $68 million of that could be wasted on bot traffic," estimates Jacoby.....

Tablet users visit a site 5 times before buying and other mobile commerce facts | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

The main point of the piece is that tablets aren’t exactly the “one-click” wonders we expect them to be. Few, if any customers sit down with a tablet, go right to the product they want and buy it with a single tap. I can hear you rolling your eyes and sighing. . . ‘well, of course not’ but there are mobile apps that let you can buy just that easily – Amazon, eBay, any site that takes Apple Pay...

Here’s what customers do before they hit the “buy” button:
They visit a site 5 times before making the decision to buy
They spend an average of 18 minutes poking around on the site
During an average session, a buyer will click 70 times on a website, looking at different items, checking out options, viewing images, etc.

Content Marketing in SEO – Infographic | SEO & Digital Marketing Blog - Abdul Malick

Content Marketing in SEO – Infographic | SEO & Digital Marketing Blog - Abdul Malick | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

Basically, content marketing is the art of communicating with your customers and prospects without selling. It is non-interruption marketing. Instead of pitching your products or services, you are delivering information that makes your buyer more intelligent. The essence of this content strategy is the belief that if we, as businesses, deliver consistent, ongoing valuable information to buyers, they ultimately reward us with their business and loyalty. Nowadays people also look for the facts and useful information about the products and services that they find interesting instead of ads.

So engage your audience with unique & useful story/ information of your services or product.  Provide your information precisely not with bag of unnecessary stuffing of keywords. Make your content king in the marketing world and become a great Marketer....

Forrester scored companies according to various factors, including the appeal of their website content and use of video. The companies had the potential to score a perfect 30, or obtain a passing score of 20 or above. Only four companies successfully passed Forrester’s test; the average score was 12.8. Forrester did not reveal the names of the four companies that passed its test.

“The biggest problem is that the majority of content talks about the company, what its products and services do and how many awards they’ve won, but doesn’t speak to the issues their prospective buyers are trying to solve,” said Laura Ramos, Forrester analyst, according to Ad Age.
