January is normally the time where we look back on the last twelve months and decide what we want to improve. Cue promises that we’ll go to the gym more often, quit smoking, learn a new skill or language and so on. However, not only is it difficult to keep up any new changes, but the chances of you reverting back to your old habits increases with every new promise you take on.

 

Therefore, whether it’s for yourself or for your business, a clear plan of action is required if you want to make these changes a reality. It doesn’t matter how ambitious or modest your ambitions are, so long as they’re important to you, that’s what matters. While it can be difficult to get started, all big aims start with small steps so keep these in mind when you’re putting your plan together....

I don't know about you but everytime I read a post about curation, I see something different, this one is from someone who knows what he's talking about.

**What a curator should do is embrace content both as a marketer and an organizer

 

Follow a schedule

 

**No matter what and how much you post, 2 new links a day and one big post per week, that's a schedule

 

**Be consistent and post at the same time everyday so your readers will know when to expect new content

 

**consistency and regularity brings new users and helps you build a loyal fan base

The Big Boom in Content Curation

Hard to believe. But 95% of all marketers are now curating third-party content, Curata reports.

 

Content curation, the practice of finding and sharing online content, is now being used by almost all marketers, according to a survey by Curata (formerly HiveFire).

 

Of 400 firms surveyed, 95% had curated content in the last six months. And 100% of the non-curators had, in fact, shared articles or blog posts with prospects in the same period, Curata found.

 

Of the active curators, 45% share content daily, 33% weekly and 21% monthly. Agencies are more active than non-agencies.

 

Why go to the trouble of pushing third-party content?

 

The main reason is thought leadership—that answer was given by 85%, compared with 79% last year. Next are branding (80%) and SEO (65%)....
