21 crazy buildings in China - china-underground.com | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it
Chinese website 163.com, compiled a list of the 21 craziest buildings built in recent decades in China.

In recent years, cities urban development become a hot topic because these constructions are related with a large amounts of money. Many times, mainly because constructors and local authorities to distinguish these buildings from classic skyscrapers, they present whimsical shapes, which also lead to an increase in construction costs. In this gallery there are public buildings, Chinese private companies buildings and also copycat of famous western architectural designs.

Useful tool for presenters.

MagPointer is a downloadable Windows PC software which provides a set of highlighting tools to support the delivery of a PowerPoint presentation.

MagPointer leverages in-depth PowerPoint traits and characteristics, enabling the user to highlight and manipulate easily objects inside any slide.

The toolset includes:

  • Selecting and enlarging a specific slide object
  • Creating frames around specific elements present on a slide
  • Laser pointer
  • Zooming tool
  • Dimming screen outside of the highlighted area
  • Magnify and freeze
  • Element Highlighting tool

MagPointer auto-activates itself when you are in PowerPoint slideshow mode and it appears on the right side of the screen as a vertical toolbar.

It can be used only in conjunction with PowerPoint.

My comment: Very useful tool for presenter and effective feature set. The integrated features and tools are very useful but when MagPointer is active I dislike seeing subtle grey areas appear under every object in a slide. Usability leaves something to be desired especially when it comes to the vertical toolbar and cursor-contextual menu. Could prove very useful and handy for certain trainers/educators who find themselevs at ease with this small downsides.

How to turn your power point sales presentations into a “Buying Simulator" -- via Stories

How to turn your power point sales presentations into a “Buying Simulator" -- via Stories | Public Relations & Social Media Insight | Scoop.it

I love this article and am using its tips and outline this week for several presentations I am doing. While it is focused on sales, this post follows the same pattern I use when teaching my MBA students on business communication and influential presentations.

Keep this article/outline handy because it works!!

Robin Good: If you are looking for a tool or service that would allow you to sync up the video of you speaking at an event with the slides that were being projected, into a seamsless, web-shareable presentation, I have put together this small collection of ten tools designed just for this.

I have noted for each one whether there is a free account and how much does it cost the lowest "pro" version.
