Some really good points in this article. "The greatest risk of our investment in tablet computers is that nothing will change. We could find in a few years that, at great expense, we’ve traded paper textbooks for digital textbooks, paper notebooks for digital notebooks, and paper multiple choice tests for digital multiple choice tests. We may find that as educators we simply take these expensive new devices and digitize existing practices."

Agree - if existing practices can do the job well, why change - it all begins with a drawing, is usually my starting point for any good idea…

Zeega is a great tool for creating digital narrative. Users can add their own media as well as using found media from around the internet and media supplied by Zeega. They drag media onto digital pages and can edit them and add their own text commentary and sound track. Here's a great example http://zeega.com/152325 which celebrates 50 years since martin Luther King's 'I had a dream' speech.

YouTube Kills Video Responces

Youtube says they are doing away with video responces as we know them. Oh NOOOOOO! Have no fear, they are going to come up with something even better...I hop...

Ileane Smith's curator insight, August 29, 2013 5:34 AM

I like the idea of leaving video links in comments because there are many times when I wanted to do this. Video responses don't get clicks because of there placement along with the other comments.

In many cases, people don't want to have the video response mixed in with all the other videos their subscribers get notified about because there is no context.

I hope they will allow us link to YouTube  playlists as well.
