Action/Assemblage: Drawing Together

Action/Assemblage: Drawing Together | Public art and creative spaces | Scoop.it

"Action/Assemblage: Drawing Together was scheduled as one of the activities running through the RWA’s Drawn exhibition. It was designed as an interactive visitor experience, and it wouldn’t work without visitors."

"I’m looking at image in sign language poetry, and asking whether analyzing this ‘Signart’ through art epistemologies can offer a greater understanding of the form than purely linguistic or literary analysis permits. So Richard and Paul were performing the subject of the research, the visitors were performing the research practice by drawing, thinking, writing and commenting, whilst I was performing academically by relating all of these to existing knowledge."

VISION|Creative Lounge MOV

VISION|Creative Lounge MOV | Public art and creative spaces | Scoop.it

"The times call for a new way to work where people meet, transcending the traditional barriers of organization, nationality, generation, cultures, and fields. When people of all different backgrounds share their experiences and knowledge, it gives birth to new standards. Creative Lounge MOV in Hikarie 8/ was made to achieve such standards, and it is our wish to start a movement from Shibuya to transmit to the world. This workspace is a great place for individuals to improve themselves, build organic communities, and build relationships with others and corporations."

What is a Social Entrepreneur? | Ashoka - Innovators for the Public

What is a Social Entrepreneur? | Ashoka - Innovators for the Public | Public art and creative spaces | Scoop.it

"Rather than leaving societal needs to the government or business sectors, social entrepreneurs find what is not working and solve the problem by changing the system, spreading the solution, and persuading entire societies to take new leaps.

. . .

Each social entrepreneur presents ideas that are user-friendly, understandable, ethical, and engage widespread support in order to maximize the number of local people that will stand up, seize their idea, and implement with it. In other words, every leading social entrepreneur is a mass recruiter of local changemakers—a role model proving that citizens who channel their passion into action can do almost anything."
