" The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) on Friday, called on health services and other professionals to offer counselling to practicing homosexuals in order to eschew the practice." 

 

I was going to ignore this article at first but then I thought I would share it just so we can be aware of this appaling attempt to subvert Counselling.  This abuse of counselling is still an issue in some parts of the world.  We like to pretend it just happens in the developing world but in fact there is strong evidence in the UK and the USA of counsellors offering such interventions.

In a study published by a group of Finnish investigators headed by Prof. Karlsson in the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics low level of optimism appear to predict initiation of psychotherapy for depression.
