Looking for Evidence That Therapy Works

Looking for Evidence That Therapy Works | Psychotherapy & Counselling | Scoop.it
Studies suggest surprisingly few patients receive evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy, which have been shown to be effective.
Kevin Friery's curator insight, April 3, 2:07 AM

I have a strong aversion to the "CBT is the one and only true therapy" cult, but I do hink this article, and the comments afterwards, raise questions that we, as therapists, must be willing to answer.

Jerome Kagan: Psychology Is In Crisis

Notable American psychologist Jerome Kagen talks about what he says is a crisis in the field of research psychology.
Kevin Friery's insight:

A fascinating indictment, from someone who has been at the heart of the profession

Luigi Frezza Psicologo's curator insight, January 29, 4:22 AM
