It looks worth exploring but Google+ is blocked in my particular establishment so I'll check it our for personal development and possibilities in case the block is removed in future.

"SAMR is a great framework for thinking about technology and how it can best be used in a teaching environment to bring about transformational learning opportunities that wouldn't have been possible without the technology." If SAMR is new to you the letters stand for: Augmentation Modification Redefinition This visual from Mark Anderson does a great job providing an overview of SAMR as well as transformative level activities. As our schools move to 1:1, BYOD, flipped or hybrid digital learning environments, this model gives clear guidance on the different levels of integration. Thanks to Beth Dichter's timely Scoop, I will begin my 1:1 journey with a clear pathway to success. Delete the scoop?

twitter alone might not be sufficient, as we (or most of us) not 'always online', we have to do other things. combining twitter with a mechanism to comb through the # and compile personalized feed, would be useful.

I'm a fledgling tweeter but love the way Twitter ignites discussion and ideas within a professional community.

All learning technologies have a place, but "technology' - in the form of a solution, support and application device or system "decays" over time. It goes from technology to facility.....and falls from the innovation spot that breaks it into use. That said, drawing with a stick in mud, once a real innovation to led to early man being able to convey and communicate is still relevant in some situations. Mind you, saying that, I have to refrain from pointing these things out in case the current Education Secretary here in england decides to add it to the curriculum ;-)
