GetAtMe- WhoIsLadyKeyz (Don't worry you're about to find out) | PRODUCTION of Video Music clips and songs | Scoop.it

You know what I love? I love it when an artist is on the tipping point of doing something special.  That's what I see when I see Lady Keyz.  This artist who has a caribe/edm feel (is that a word? hmmm) is right at the tipping point of being on the top of world music (it's just to easy to see her jammin at TommorrowWorld.)  Can Lady Keyz become EDM's Donna Summers, oh yeah.  Her music has the drive of Donna Summers ( Bad Girls) combined with Cynda Lauper's fun music sound.  Lady Keyz music has a very world music sound (maybe that comes from her multi ethnic background).  So hey world, you've been informed.  Lady Keyz is on the way and you have a personal invitation to her experience (#ManIGotMtTicketAndMyGlowStick).

Music Production Evolution: The Rise Of Digital vs. The Vinyl Revival — MusicTank

Music Production Evolution: The Rise Of Digital vs. The Vinyl Revival — MusicTank | PRODUCTION of Video Music clips and songs | Scoop.it

The unexpected sales success of music formatting last year has been labelled ‘The Vinyl Revival’.

Laura Creed, Superfi has delved into how and why the cult following for vinyl has resurfaced in this booming digital age.  Alongside this, she questions the popularity of digital and what this could mean for the music industry.

Below is an explanatory info graphic into the research findings.  Following the info graphic is further commentary to compliment the graphical representations of the study.

Trevor Parks's curator insight, November 6, 12:21 PM

Music Tank in my opinion is a very reliable source, considering the fact that it is a sector based network for the University of Westminster in England. As for the article itself, it contains many charts, graphs, and infographics that relate to the recent popularity and rise in sales of vinyl LPs.

Clae Wilson's curator insight, November 9, 5:40 PM

The infographic in this article is really cool, as it gives a lot of great visual representations of how music sales have been shifting in past years. It shows that, while vinyl is still only a small sliver of total units sold, it's growing by leaps and bounds and has a very promising future.

Ryan Kowalkowski's curator insight, November 11, 10:42 AM

There is a desire for music fans to own copies of their albums, but the debate over physical copies vs digital downloads if a finer line.

How many times does the chorus repeat in your favorite song? How many
times have you listened to that chorus? Repetition in music isn’t just a
feature of Western pop songs, either; it’s a global phenomenon. Why?
Elizabeth Hellmuth Margulis walks us through the basic principles of the
‘exposure effect,’ detailing how repetition invites us into music as
active participants, rather than passive listeners.

THIS IS OUR MUSIC: The Jam – “Down In The Tube Station

THIS IS OUR MUSIC: The Jam – “Down In The Tube Station”.

The Jam’s reign at the top of the British charts really began with 1978’s “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.” Picking up where he left off with “‘A’ Bomb in Wardour Street,” Paul Weller drew a devastating character sketch of a young man attacked by jackbooted thugs in the subway station as he headed home to a romantic dinner with his wife. Prior to this song, Weller’s work was stronger on its raw, vital musicality than it was on its lyrics, which tend to be passionate outbursts of rage and passion.

Weller’s details and narrative make “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight” transcend its time. And its clever, impassioned lyrics and textured music, along with the Jam’s impeccable sense of style, meant that it was the song that ushered in the Mod Revival era.

‘I Melt’ was banned from GAC-TV because of a brief — as in quicker than a flap of a mosquito’s wing — scene that shows Rascal Flatts‘ Joe Don Rooney naked. It’s a backside peak at the famous musician (seen at the 3:40 mark), but that was enough to make the sensual video the first that showed nudity
Charlie Dare's insight:

Seriously?! You saw less of his backside than the girl's. Come on GAC, not enough to get your panties in a twist!! others were Conway Twitty and Garth Brooks "When the Thunder Rolls"
