IPads are clearly doing wondering for all children, but as a big sister of a autistic 14 year old I can see that without his IPad he finds it very difficult to maintain interest in the topic and will often just walk away. During my time working with special needs students I have seen the Ipad used as a form of communication and I think in this case it is a wonderful device to continue use. It is when it becomes an obsession is when I think we need to look at drawing the line some how? How would this be done if the Ipad is the main form of communication? How can we ensure to use it appropriately and not abuse this resource?
